Who is the best looking idol visual?
Recently, MBC Every1‘s “Star JikJJik” ran a episode called, “30 Best Idol Visuals.” The rankings were determined through physiognomy, somatology, and suitability for broadcast.
A source from MBC Every1 stated, “We picked 30 visual members who represent their groups that debuted after 2000 and are still active. Plastic surgeon Kim Yong Sung, CEO of Aromi Plastic Surgery, evaluated through somatology, suitability for broadcast was evaluated by television cameramen, physiognomy was evaluated by a physiognomy expert, and the public, divided by generation, also participated.”

130602 [NEWS] ‘SNL’ MBLAQ Lee Joon, Self-Parody of ‘We Got Married’

Source: OhKpop
Reuploaded: blaqrain@mblaqwithusa

MBLAQ’s member Lee Joon did a parody of himself for MBC “We Got Married.”
Lee Joon, who used to come out as a virtual couple with Oh Yeon Seo on MBC “We Got Married,” ended up leaving the program because of the dating scandals between Oh Yeon Seo and Lee Jang Woo. Today, Lee Joon came out in tvN “SNL Korea” and showed a parody of this.
He came out and sang the line of a song, “I’m never going to love again,” arousing laughter. This was the first time he mentioned this in a program while laughing.

130514 [NEWS] The Seven Most Desirable Idol Students

MBLAQ‘s adorable airhead Lee Joon
When Lee Joon makes an appearance on a variety show I make sure to watch because I know I’m going to end with stomach pains from laughing too hard. Lee Joon, whether by intent or chance, has earned the descriptor of “airhead” with his lack of common sense and unexpected antics. I’m sure he will make any classroom fun to be in.

130413 [NEWS] [Laughter] The Idols Who Took Over Variety (Joon Mention)

While last week we celebrated the men and women who make us laugh as a vocation, today we’re highlighting those who started out in the business of laughter in a slightly different way.

We’re talking about the idols.

Idols, who train for years on years to be charismatic on stage, sing with (hopefully) beautiful voices, and execute knife-sharp dance moves, sometimes find their calling somewhere else - on the variety circuit.

Because, come on, let’s be real - no matter how good at singing you are, or how fancy your feet foot, in the currently overflowing pool of idols, it’s hard to stand out. But what idols have discovered is that actually having a personality, and displaying this personality, garners popularity and recognition - and thus, the variety-dol was born.

Here are just a few of the idols who have found new heights of popularity in making people laugh.

Shinhwa

The Shinhwa members may have been in the business of being idols for 15 years, but the boys (men? no, definitely boys) have made their mark as the true original variety-dols. They’ve covered all aspects of variety, from the hit old school shows, X-Man and Love Letter to more recent shows like We Got Married, which arguably re-launched Andy’s career.

And of course, these days, the forever funny Shinhwa members have been making fans laugh every week through jTBC’s Shinhwa Broadcast.

Just watch Kim Dong Wan dance to Girls’ Generation (SNSD)’s I Got a Boy.

‘Nuff said.

Super Junior

Another group that can’t be ignored is Super Junior. While we acknowledge that not all of the many Super Junior members spend a majority of their schedules on variety shows, a good majority of them have created careers out of MCing and cracking people up.

Though Leeteuk and Heechul are both currently in the army, they managed to carve a place for themselves as variety-dols, with the help of shows like Strong HeartStar King and We Got Married, while fellow members, Shindong and Eunhyuk also stood out thanks to the former show. Of course, Kyuhyun is also doing his thing as a co-MC on Radio Star, and the remaining members frequently appear on shows as guests, spiking ratings and laughter all in one go.

Of course one particular member can make us just laugh...by laughing.

See what we mean below.

ZE:A’s Hwang Kwang Hee

This boy was destined for variety.

ZE:A’s Hwang Kwang Hee may not be very good at singing or dancing (hey, he said it first), but he sure is good at going crazy and letting nothing stop him from baring all.

We’re not sure if Kwang Hee ever gets embarrassed, but if he does, he sure seems to get over it quick. This idol was practically unknown until he began appearing on variety shows, talking, in his very loud voice, about all the plastic surgery he’s gotten.

Plastic surgery may be common, but talking about it sure isn’t, and so Kwang Hee immediately made headlines. Despite efforts to normalize the idol, Kwang Hee just can’t be contained - but it sure has been working for him. He’s appeared on Strong HeartThe Laws of the JungleWe Got MarriedKneedrop Guru and many other variety shows, and has managed to stand out on every single one.

Of course it helps when you’ve got a recognizable voice (speaking, not singing) and a penchant for crazy dancing.

Just watch his cover of Jewelry’s Rhythm Ha

MBLAQ’s Lee Joon

Now this is one idol who isn’t necessarily balls to the walls crazy - but he has a knack for stunning people with his variety wit (aka, his amazing babo-sense).

Nicknamed Babo Joon and thought of as one of the most clueless idols around (we say this with fondness, of course), MBLAQ’s Lee Joon has earned his place in the variety-dol hall of fame.

While Lee Joon started out as a child star, even acting as Rain’s child version in Ninja Assassin, and is a talented dancer and performer, he can’t seem to shed his ‘babo’ image. But perhaps he shouldn’t be trying?

Lee Joon has appeared on Strong HeartSesame PlayerWe Got Married and countless other shows, showcasing his slightly dumb, incredibly endearing ways, and has arguably a bigger fanbase than the rest of his group because of it.

But of course, his groupmates love teasing him too.

130428 [NEWS] [Laughter] JYJ, SUJU, Lee Seung Gi and More in Korea′s Funniest Videos (RAIN AND JOON MENTION)

It’s already nearing the end of April (something we still can’t believe) which means we’re also coming to the end of our LAUGHTER month.

We’ve highlighted the funniest variety idols, the best comedians in the business, wacky music videos, but today, we’re really just going to make you laugh.

Here are some videos starring your favorite celebrities - guaranteed to make you laugh.

Who could forget this epic moment? You don’t even have to hear the SNSD girls, namely Taeyeon and Yoona, speak. Just watch and wait for the hair to fly.

Not sure exactly how this happened but please just wait until 0:05, when Eunhyuk proceeds to fall. By himself. While sitting down.

We’d like to highlight Youtube commenter, osangELF, who wrote, “If I was listening to that station I probably would′ve been like ‘wtf is happening!?’”

Ditto.

Ah...dance singers. When they hit up variety shows, they’re inevitably asked to dance, even if they’re not properly equipped. Case in point, Rain, who guested on SBS’ Strong Heart, making a rare variety appearance.

Fast-forward to 3:05 where Rain begins to slowly turn out those dancing moves, only to stop a few seconds later, thanks to a massive rip in his drop-crotch pants.

Chaos ensues, and pro MC Kang Ho Dong takes the reins by ...making fun of Rain in the best possible way, and forcing him to dance anyway.

But was the rip too subtle for you?

Then watch this clip of ‘Little Rain’, MBLAQ’s Lee Joon, doing his version of SISTAR’s Push Push dance, ending with a fancy leg split that results in...well...you know the rest.

The hit variety show 1 Night, 2 Days is full of hilarious moments. But the best come from when the boys are just messing around on their own.

This clip, of Lee Seung Gi helping his hyung Kang Ho Dong out with some sit-ups doesn’t have a funny set-up. But we dare you to watch without laughing.

Family Outing may be over (sad face), but this moment will live on as one of the funniest in variety history.

Lee Chunhee, better known as Chunderella, proceeds to wash vegetables. With soap.

Kim Sooro, his ′evil stepmother′, goes predicatably ballistic.

And just for fun, since cats are the current rulers of internet comedy, a bonus video of a fan-made video of JYJ’s Kim Jae Joong’s cat, Jiji, set to the brilliant music of NHK’s Ore, Neko.

Thank us for the abs you get from laughing later.

130412 [NEWS] ‘Iris 2’ MBLAQ's Lee Joon a Sick Twist

Lee Joon has brought on a sick twist to 'Iris 2' as the new focal point of the drama.

On the 16th episode of KBS drama 'Iris 2' Yoon Shi Hyuk, played by Lee Joon, denied all spy-related allegations.

With the revelation that Yoon is the last remaining spy within NSS, he turned the table on Choi Min (played by Oh Yeon Soo) and threatened that her office will be in danger for directing secret missions to Yoon. Even after murdering a colleague, he held his head up high.

Then, Yoon went onto pass all the lie detectors about the recent murders. It was confirmed that his gun had not been used in the past 20 hours. Furthermore, no evidence was found at his residence.

With no proof turning up, Yoon continued his vile masquerade. He claimed innocence and declared that he is a far better person than assistant director Choi Min who abused team manager Jung who had not yet fully recovered. Going as far as to shed tears, he pushed the viewers to the edge of their patience and anger.

Lee Joon's acting skills, however, are garnering much respect from the viewers at the same time. His cold-blooded charisma that has emerged since his initially-bright character has been a shocker for many.

According to Nielson Korea TV ratings, 'Iris 2' recorded 11.1% national ratings, climbing back to the number one spot on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

130412 [NEWS] MBLAQ’s Lee Joon praised for his spirit in ‘IRIS 2’

MBLAQ’s Lee Joon strong display of spirit towards acting in current airing KBS2TV Wed-Thu drama ‘IRIS 2’, has seen praise come along his way from the drama’s production team.
Lee Joon plays the role of sharp witted and intelligent NSS agent, Yoon Shik Hyuk. But in episode 15, it was revealed that Yoon Shi Hyuk was actually a double agent as he was working undercover in NSS for IRIS, and helped raised the drama’s tension. During the course of investigations, Lee Joon faced the interrogation with an expression-less face, and was able to remain calm while subjected to a lie detector test, showing his high level of acting skills. In addition, he was thick-skinned enough to put on a show in front of Choi Min (Oh Yeon Soo), showing his double personality, and attracted much attention from viewers.
Lee Joon’s gradually improving acting skills has been noted by viewers who have given him the thumbs up. It is understood that at the film set, Lee Joon was so focused on his acting, that he usually cleared his scenes in one take without the need for a reshoot. His impressive performances have also come in for praise from directors Pyo Min Soo and Kim Tae Hoon.
Meanwhile in the episodes that will be aired this week, Yoon Shi Hyuk will receive a solo mission from the mysterious Mr. Black, and will go a step further in establishing his presence in the drama. The production team revealed, “Lee Joon has been seriously rehearsing his script all this time, and also takes time to review his scenes on camera. He has displayed utmost passion towards the role that he is portraying. He also often gets guidance from his seniors like Jang Hyuk and Oh Yeon Soo on how to approach acting out his scenes, and also pick up knowledge from watching other shows. His future is really one to look out for.”
Elsewhere, Yeon Hwa (Im Soo Hyang) begins to open up to Yoo Gun (Jang Hyuk) after spending quality time together and assisting each other along the way. This new and unexpected partnership is expected to raise more doubts in viewers as the drama heads towards its conclusion.

130405 [NEWS] "IRIS 2" Records Highest Viewership Ratings, and is Finally Able To Shine

Now that “That Winter The Wind” which was the biggest competition for ratings, is over. “IRIS 2” was finally able to grab the highest viewership ratings.
On April 4th, “IRIS 2” scored 11.1% which is 0.9% more than the night before. Even if the ratings were low, it was enough to make “IRIS 2” taken the first place.
On this night, Lee Joon denies that he is a spy for IRIS, and acts like the victim. He fake cries, and passes the lie detector tests and since he there aren't any proofs against him, he is not punished. Yoo Joong Won (Lee Bum Soo) kidnaps Ji Soo Yeon (Lee Da Hae) as a bait to get Jung Yoo Gun (Jang Hyuk) and Baek San (Kim Young Chul) and gives the NSS 24 hours to rescue her, and bring Baek San.
On this day “All About My Love Life” premiere scoring 7.4% of ratings, which is good considering the SBS drama is not that far from “IRIS 2”.
The drama starts by introducing Kim Soo Young (Shin Ha Gyun), as he writes on his computer that he, being a decent and clean man, can not work with trash people anymore. He then is present at a political debate and it doesn’t go well. Things then a little complicated when Noh Min Young (Lee Min Jung) hits Kim Soo Young with a with a fire extinguisher by accident.
MBC's “When A Man Falls In Love” was able to grab the second place recording 10.1% of ratings of its second episode, which is 3.5% more than the day before, and is very close to catch up to “IRIS 2.”
On this night, Seo Do Mi (Shin Se Kyung) still looking for job everywhere, but she get rejected by not having experience or a good background. Han Tae Sang (Song Seung Hun) asked Mi do to work for him at his company and even if he was proud, she could not say no to the offer. As she continues to work for him, Han Tae Sang started liking her, and proposed to her, saying they should get married and live together.
As it is, nothing is known about ratings next week. One can assume "IRIS 2" should keep the lead since the drama's plot keep getting more interesting as the ends is near, but is also true that "When A Man Falls In Love” is closely following behind. At this point, any of the three dramas can grab the first spot.

Not only did he relay IRIS orders to Yoo Joong Won (Lee Bum Soo), he also murdered Song Young Min (A-JAX‘s Hyeongkon) in cold blood.

130402 [NEWS] [Spoilers] Lee Joon’s identity to be revealed in this week’s ‘Iris 2′

Just what is Lee Joon‘s character up to in ‘Iris 2‘?
He plays Yoon Shi Hyuk, one of the top agents in NSS on the show. However, lately viewers have noticed that his actions are quite bizarre, and many have even gone forward to suggest that he would ultimately betray NSS. For example, instead of shooting at David McInnis while he ran away, he pointed his gun into empty space and shot it. In another scene, he pointed his gun at Jang Hyuk‘s character.
One of the ‘Iris 2′ representatives said, “During this week’s episodes, the veil around Yoon Shi Hyuk, who has been helping Choi Min as an independent informant, will be lifted. There will also be an unexpected sacrifice, so please carefully look at his identity that is slowly surfacing.
What do you think his true identity could be?

130402 [NEWS] "IRIS 2" Characters To Live On In Online Shooter Game

Fans who can't get enough of seeing their favorite characters in the spy drama sequel "IRIS 2," won't have to suffer withdrawal when the series ends. Several of the series' characters are being added to the first-person online shooter game Sudden Attack!

National Security Service agent, Ji Soo Yeon, played by Lee Da Hae and detective turned NSS agent, Jung Yoo Gun, played by Jang Hyuk, are naturally going to be featured in the game version of "IRIS 2." But kdrama and kpop fans may be pleased to learn that Lee Joon of MBLAQ, who plays NSS operations head Yoon Shi Hyuk, and Yoon Doo Joon of B2ST, who plays agent Seo Hyun Woo, will also have their own characters in the game. All of the actors will use their own voices and recording is already underway.

As a bonus, the "IRIS 2" game characters will get special weapons and effects. And the game will provide a new map that is based on the concept of the KBS2 drama.

The plot of "IRIS 2," a sequel of the popular spy series, "IRIS," revolves around the attempts of the NSS to take down the terrorist group, Iris. It takes place three years after the terrorist organization has killed National Intelligence Service agent Kim Yeon Jun, played by Lee Byung Hun.

At the start of the show, the NSS is guarding a summit between North and South Korea and NSS ex-director Baek San, played by Kim Young Chul, is safely imprisoned at an NSS prison on a remote island.

A helicopter requests permission to land on the island and the pilots identify themselves as NSS agents, but they are actually IRIS members. They break Baek San out of prison, but as the helicopter ascends, he jumps into the ocean.

After that there are plenty of chase sequences, gunfights, spy moles to be routed out and threatened attacks, all of which make for a dramatic spy series and form the basis for a decent first person shooter game, especially if there is a character you have been wanting to kill off.

Sudden Attack is a free-to-play, multiplayer game developed by the South Korean company, GameHi, that now belongs to Nexon. The game features 11 play modes.
