MBLAQ is back in five, in June, with “Sexy Beat”!


In 2012 were movies, drama, entertainment, MC swept many aspects including the domestic entertainment industry; the 5 MBLAQ returned to their hearty personal activities, as singers in MBLAQ. After approximately 1 year and 6 months they release the 5th mini album “Sexy Beat” with the hottest genre – Neo soul, an urban music genre – “Smoky Girl”, as well as a total of six songs.

“Smoky Girl” is tastefully minimalist, a domestic fusion flavored with sophisticated unique electronic sexy sound and hip hop.

Zion T, a Korean rapper and producer also participated in the making of MBLAQ’s album.

Further more, the current music and the title track is completed with a clearly differentiated style. MBLAQ is reborn as an artist and a new pace in music is started from now on.

1. “Sexy Beat” (Lyrics: SeoJeonghwan, Thunder / Composition: SeoJeonghwan, Thunder / Arrangement: SeoJeonghwan).
Ethnic percussion rhythms with hip hop and pop harmonies blends well in “Sexy Beat” and the album name is the intro song. “Beat” is a metaphor for the passion. Echoing in the dim light sexy temptation, Enjoy the night!

2. “Smoky Girl” (Lyrics: Zion T, Simon D, Crush / Composition: Primary, Zion T / Arrangement: Primary).
It’s a stylish urban style song, one that minimizes the instrument of sensual minimalism of “Beat”, in the best flavored electronic sound. You can’t listen without hearing the soul filled with remarkable vocals. In addition to the vintage guitar that maintains funky futuristic sounds there was added a combination of retro and new sound.

3. “R U OK?” (Lyrics: G.O, Mir/ Music: G.O, Primary/ Arrangement: Primary)
K-pop scene, as well as South Korea's most hottest urban producers 'Primary', MBLAQ's main vocalist G.O collaborated in this Neo-soul feel for the accompaniment of the casual breakup between men and women that pretending to get along well. This story of a foolish man was represented by sophisticated melodies. Recently re-emerging neo-soul genre, the hottest genre, is represented, without lacking the title "Smoky Girl (Smokey Girl)," a song that is being followed by many expectations.

4. "Celebrate" (Lyrics: Yunyoungmin, Siu / Composition: Yunyoungmin, Siu / Arrangement: yunyoungmin)

5. "Girls" (Lyrics: Maybe, Mir / Composition: Gimgeonwoo, Seojeongmo / Arrangement: Gimgeonwoo, Seojeongmo)
