121115 [NEWS] Cast of ‘Iris 2’ Holds First Script Reading

With production kicking off soon, the cast of Iris 2 has held its first script reading for the show.

The heavily-anticipated sequel to the hit 2009 drama kicked off its script reading recently where the likes of Jang Hyuk, Lee Da Hae, Lee Bum Soo, Oh Yun Soo and others came together.

The engaged actors passionately rehearsed their lines while familiarizing themselves with one another.

Jung Tae Won, the head of the production agency behind the drama, said, “I’m certain we will be able to break the notion that Iris 2 cannot surpass the previous show. I hope that the drama will long and fondly remain in the minds of viewers and that the actors create good memories from the production.”

Director Kim Tae Hoon also shared he wished everyone would be healthy and happy during the upcoming shooting period.

Iris 2 premieres on KBS on February 13 next year

MBLAQ‘s Lee Joon and B2ST‘s Doojoon talked about their roles in ‘IRIS 2‘.

On November 13th, the two were present during the KBS 2TV ‘IRIS 2′ showcase held at the Seoul Gangnam Ritz-Carlton Hotel to answer questions from the media.

Lee Joon is currently cast not only in ‘IRIS 2′, but also as the lead in the movie, ‘An Actor is an Actor‘. He has previously been cast in the Hollywood movie ‘Ninja Assassin‘ as well as many other dramas. When asked why he thought he was being cast into so many big roles lately, he answered, “It’s because I work hard. I think people like me because I work hard. There’s no other reason why I would be cast so in such great roles like this.”

He also said, “There is definitely more pressure than before. In the past, I did action scenes with swords and chains, but now I have to move in detail with my own body. So I have to work harder.”

Doojoon also talked about his role and said, “It’s true that there’s pressure because I really enjoyed the first IRIS. I’m focusing on filming by going back and forth from action schools to the shooting range. I’m going to do my best so I’m not a hinderance to the sunbaes who worked on the previous one as well.”

When asked how the B2ST members reacted to his casting, he said, “The members were honored about my casting. To be honest, I’m the most pressured by the fact that the members will watch my drama more than anyone else. I’m going to do my best so I don’t hurt the members.”

IRIS 2 begins filming this month and is scheduled to air in early 2013.

121112 [NEWS] CP Rhee Myung Han of ′The Romantic & Idol′ Says Fiestar′s Jei is Like Lee Hyori

Lee Myung Han, chief producer of tvN′s The Romantic & Idol, called Fiestar′s Jei ′the next Lee Hyori′ and said MBLAQ′s Mir seemed to fit the show the most.

CP Lee recently met with enews and talked about the eight idol members currently appearing on The Romantic & Idol. The show currently features 2PM′s Jun.K (Junsu), ZE:A′s Park Hyung Sik, MBLAQ′s Mir, JJ Project′s JB, 4minute′s Nam Ji Hyun, Fiestar′s Jei, Rainbow′s Oh Seung Ah and AOA′s Hyejeong.

He first said about Fiestar′s leader Jei, "The producers all agreed that Jei is just like how the sexy queen Lee Hyori was when she was a rookie. She′s a rookie, but still she feels like a veteran. Her words and her solid heart were just like Lee Hyori′s."

He then added, "Even her looks and her image are like Hyori′s too. She was very attractive. I believe those charms will be able to shine through this program."

The Romantic & Idol is a show which invites eight idol members to shed their idol identities and try to find love as normal youths in their 20s. The team stayed for four days in Jeju Island while they got to know each other and started to form relationships among them.

CP Lee then added that MBLAQ′s Mir fit The Romantic & Idol′s aims the best, adding, "He opened up everything that was inside him. He knew what he wanted and what he didn′t."

On the first episode of The Romantic & Idol, which aired on November 11, Mir paired up with AOA′s Hyejeong through a shuffle.

Mir had told the producers after the match, "To be honest, Hyejeong isn′t my ideal type. I want someone with small eyes, and I like women who have bangs. Ms. Nam Ji Hyun, we are meant to be."

The Romantic & Idol is the idol version of tvN′s real love variety show The Romantic.

The first episode showed how the men and women got to meet, as well as a preview of what would happen during their four day stay in Jeju Island. Jun.K and Jei, Hyung Sik and Nam Ji Hyun, Mir and Hyejeong and JB and Seung Ah became couples, but the preview for the next episode showed that everyone′s hearts would start pointing in different directions.

121112 [NEWS] Oh Yeon Seo: “MBLAQ’s Lee Joon feels jealous of Lee Jang Woo”

Actress Oh Yeon Seo recently said that her imaginary husband, MBLAQ’s Lee Jun, felt jealous.

On November 12, a press conference for MBC’s new daily series Oh Ja Ryong Is Coming was held at Imperial Palace Hotel in Seoul.

Oh said, “Lee Jun felt jealous of Lee Jang Woo asking me when am I going to kiss him.”

Lee Jang Woo made people laugh by saying, “I appeared on the show earlier than you. You should be careful because it is a reality program. After I left the show, no one if offering me to appear on commercials.”

Oh said, “Lee Jang Woo and I went to the same school and he was very famous as a handsome man.”

When she was asked to choose one among Lee Jun and Lee Jang Woo, she replied using her real name and character name, “Haet Nim will like Lee Jun more and Gong Ju will like Lee Jang Woo more.”

The series is about the second son-in-law (played by Lee Jang Woo) saving his wife’s family from the first son-in-law (played by Jin Tae Hyun), who trying to steal money from them. Oh and Lee Jang Woo will perform as a comic married couple on the show, which will start airing on November 19 at 7:15 p.m.

Cho Seongmo and MBLAQ G.O Excellently Performs ‘Gwanghwamun Sonata’ at Shin-kabuki Theater, Osaka

Korean Musical ‘Gwanghwamun Sonata’ was premiered on November 10 at Shin-kabuki Theater in Osaka and Cho Seongmo, MBLAQ’s G.O and other main casts responded to interviews. This musical is a love story performed with composer, Lee Younghoon’s masterpieces. It is a story of a woman and two men, the first time to be performed in Japan.

Cho Seongmo, acting as a man who wishes happiness for his most loving woman while he chooses to step aside, said “No other man is better than Sanghoon. It was hard to act because it was a character unlike me,” with a bitter smile. G.O, who acted as a younger man who will eventually take over his ex-girlfriend, said “My personality is close to that of Sanghoon’s, but I worked hard to get close to my character so I might have become more manly.”

Performances in Osaka will end on December 12. In January 2013 the musical is scheduled to be shown at Meiji Theater in Tokyo.

MBLAQ’s Lee Joon borrowed singer Rain’s body to warn his television wife Oh Yeon Seo about her dress.

On a recent episode of “We Got Married,” Lee Joon came out behind a life-sized cardboard cutout of his mentor, Rain. Hiding behind the cutout, he impersonated Rain and said to his wife, “Your dress at the Busan International Film Festival was too revealing.”

Oh Yeon Seo replied, “I don’t think it was as bad as you think.”

Although Oh Yeon Seo had put on a cute expression, Lee Joon continued to pretend to be Rain and said, “I saw it. It was bad.”
