Tribute to Chilean artists has become hallmark to Korean’s pop festival
Music. Groups from Music Bank cited Los Jaivas and Violeta Parra in the Quinta Vergara, fulled of national and foreign fans.
Elegance, dance, music, synchronization, style, and lots of euphoria could be the main ingredients that made up the Music Bank, the TV show and festival of K-pop (Korean pop) most important in the world, that last night in a way so unprecedented was held at the Quinta Vergara, turning Chile into the only place in Latin America that could witness the show.
That's why the event gathered about 15,000 people, not only from Chile, but also from other Latin American countries such as Brazil and Argentina. So Koreans from this area, which flocked to the set viñamarino to watch the show of the six music bands that were part of the meeting.
Exactly at 8:05 pm the concert started with a couple of videos and images that were projected on the six LED screens, that was showing each one of the participating bands, accompanied by a play of light. Since then the public mood began to rise more and more, but it was just a few minutes later, when they finally came on stage: Super Junior, Afterschool, MBLAQ, CNBlue, Davichi and Rania.
The striking beginning
Fans were really excited to see them just meters far away. The euphoria grew and screams began to increase when started playing "Todos Juntos" of Los Jaivas, with the statues of moais from Easter Island as background. The surprise was when over thirty korean artists began to sing the song together. Each one of the bands plays a part of it, which was also echoed enthusiastically by the public.
Then the responsible for starting the K-pop show were MBLAQ boys, who danced to the public, with a similar style to Americans of N "Synk, thanks to their choreography and pop tunes.Like this, then the show continued with Rania and later with the performance of After school girls group.
However, after the show of these first groups, started the so-called "Dancing in Latinoamerica", where Korean dancers moved to the beat of three styles characteristic of this part of the world. They began with a foot of cueca, which immediately received the applause of the people.
Later, the show continued with a number of lambada and finally, an imitation of "Livin 'La Vida Loca" by Ricky Martin in charge of one of the Korean artists.
Tribute to Chile
But if the public was fascinated with the interpretation of the theme by Los Jaivas, the delicate voice of the two members of Davichi singing "Gracias a la Vida" by Violeta Parra was one of the golden brooches of the night. Although the tribute to Chile followed with a number inspired by the rescue of 33 miners from the San Jose mine in 2010.
While the images were projected from this process that transcended all over the world, one of the members of CNBlue was singing "Love Me Tender" by Elvis Presley, while from the gallery people accompanying them with the light of their cell phones.
To this was added the interpretation of dancing and singing of the song "Gangnam style" fellow rapper PSY.
Although, undoubtedly the most anticipated show of the night was from the group Super Junior, icon band of Asian music industry.
At the closure from this edition the members remain on stage featuring some of the material that composes their latest album.

121108 [NEWS] Hysteria encompassed Korean pop festival at Quinta Vergara in Viña del Mar
Hysteria encompassed Korean pop festival at Quinta Vergara in Viña del Mar.
The nearly 10,000 attendees at Music Bank screamed utmost for their Asian idols.
The screaming and excitement seized from one end to the Quinta Vergara Amphitheater in Viña del Mar, in what was the night of Korean pop in Chile who dazzled fans with his most faithful exponent as were MBLAQ, Rania, Super Junior , CNBlue, After School and Davichi.
And like though it were the real Song Festival, the euphoria marked the moment when entered the stage the male group MBLAQ with their dance moves to the beat of electropop generated more than sighs, true hysteria among women.
Fanaticism reached such a level that Fernanda Retamal from group’s Fanclub, raised a large canvas with her friends, dedicating their love. "We did this canvas in two days, are almost 22 meters of it (...) is written in Korean and says: "A love like ours is given only once in a lifetime, you are the best thing that happened to me", and ends with the group name ", Fernanda has the initials of the group on her face.
Claudia Nisa, who came from Santiago, tells us that she is CNBlue’s fan, and is addicted to K-POP for five years, while her friend, Erika Diaz, confessed supporter of the six groups that attended the event and said "She loves all K-POP groups", and said that "She’s expecting the arrival of more singers on Chilean territory".
Catalina Cortes could not believe that she was in Music Bank, since " with this it will come many more groups." Meanwhile, Daphne, who attended to see the female duet Davichi, told us that she traveled more than four hours from Talca to participate in the event.
Foreigners
We saw that the fanaticism for Korean music really crosses borders, since a group of Argentina fans of Super Junior, were placed at the Quinta entrance to give songbooks and balloons. "We give blue balloons and songbooks to support Super Junior, our favorite group (...) we come from Argentina and spent like 2.500 dollars to came" Ines says euphorically.
Koreans
Hyu Jie, is Korean and exchange student, she arrived at the festival invited. She told us that "was amazed with fanaticism. It is strange that so many people like this music here in Chile" she said laughing.
Minutes before the show start, and in the middle of screams more than 100 Korean seafarers arrived to see the show.
"All together"
What made the day, was undoubtedly the singing of the song "Todos Juntos" of Los Jaivas which was sung in Spanish for all five Korean groups. Inclusive, was the first song which started Music Bank, generating even more hysteria among the attendees, as they had never heard their idols sing in their native language. The chorus was echoed by young and old.
Scenography
The stage of Music Bank was characterized by technology, as featured with six high-resolution LED screens: a central twelve by six meters and two sides of two to six, to which were added two semicircles lined LED six to two one and twelve elongated by two meters. While lighting had over 120 bulbs.

121108 [NEWS] Lee Joon makes a surprise appearance on ‘Radio Star’ for Oh Yeon Seo
MBLAQ‘s Lee Joon visited on-screen wife Oh Yeon Seo during the ‘We Got Married‘ wife special of ‘Radio Star‘ on November 7th.
In the middle of a conversation where Oh Yeon Seo was talking, Lee Joon suddenly made an appearance and hugged her from the back. The sudden embrace caused Oh Yeon Seo to blush and become flustered, but she could not stop smiling.
Because Oh Yeon Seo had revealed on the show that she was disappointed from the lack of skinship between herself and Lee Joon, the MCs pointed out her complaint to him. Lee Joon answered, “I surprised myself after I hugged her.”
When the MCs continued, “She said you didn’t even hold hands“, he turned to her again and wrapped his arms around her once more, finally succeeding in their first act of skinship.
