121019 [NEWS] Rain receiving special treatment in the army?
Singer Rain‘s frequent vacation and overnight leave from the army has been brought to attention.
Assemblyman Lee Suk Hyun from the Democratic United Party had analyzed information from theMinistry of National Defense, and found that celebrities took an excess of vacation days. He pointed out the problem that they were given special treatment compared to ordinary citizens.
According to data, Rain took 62 vacation days and overnight leaves just this year. Excluding national holidays, Rain took 13 stand-down days and 5 special vacation days. He took 10 official overnight leaves, the most out of any celebrity, and took 34 unofficial overnight leaves, the second most out of any celebrity after KCM‘s 52 overnight leaves.
Because Rain is part of the PR Support Team, it is unavoidable for him to not have unofficial overnight leaves. The army allows the PR squad to take these when they have to travel to a distant part of the country. However, it was revealed that 25 out of the 34 of his overnight leaves had been to Seoul and Gangnam, bringing suspicions about his actual activities.
A representative from the Democratic United Party said, “It is a special privilege for the PR squad to take an overnight leave out of Yongsan, where everyone else stays, and spend the night in Gangnam. He was allowed to take the overnight leave because of recording, editing and concert practices, but we don’t understand why he has to do all of those activities at night.”

121020 [NEWS] Oh Yeon Seo to speak with MBLAQ Lee Joon’s mother for the first time on ‘We Got Married’
On the upcoming episode of MBC‘s ‘We Got Married‘, actress Oh Yeon Seo will be speaking with the mother of MBLAQ‘s Lee Joon for the first time.
The couple will be shown planting vegetable plants together in their outdoor garden and with their lack of gardening experience, Lee Joon calls his mother for assistance. This leads Oh Yeon Seo and her new mother-in-law to begin talking to each other for the first time over the phone. Oh Yeon Seo seemed quite nervous while speaking with Lee Joon’s mom and Lee Joon was reported to have coached her on what to say during the conversation.

Who Wore it Better: Lee Joon vs Suzy
During MBC‘s ‘Mister and Miss Idol Korea Contest‘, MBLAQ‘s Lee Joon wore a grey sweatshirt with an owl design on the front.
The shirt is from Lucky Chouette, a Korean brand that has landed Suzy in our ‘Who Wore it Better’ feature twice before (1, 2). The version Suzy and Lee Joon wore is sold out, but there is a pink version and a white version available for ~135 USD on Lucky Chouette’s website.

More idols confirmed for ‘The Romantic & Idol’
More idols have been confirmed for tvN‘s upcoming ‘love variety’ show ‘The Romantic & Idol‘!
It was previously reported that 2PM‘s Jun.K and 4minute‘s Jihyun would be appearing on the show, and now tvN has announced that MBLAQ‘s Mir, ZE:A‘s Hyungsik, JJ Project‘s JB, Rainbow‘s Seung Ah, FIESTAR‘s Jei, and AOA‘s Hyejeong will also be participating.
The eight idols wrapped up filming earlier this month on Jeju Island, where they went on romantic dates and even cooked together.
The premiere of ‘The Romantic & Idol’ will air on November 11 KST. The time slot has yet to be decided.
