130308 [NEWS] The male cast of ‘Laws of the Jungle 3′ go pantless and fluster Park Bo Young

Actress Park Bo Young was in for a surprise during the latest episode of ‘Laws of the Jungle 3‘. As the only female member of the cast, she became a bit flustered and couldn’t help but laugh as she didn’t quite know where to cast her eyes.
On the March 8th broadcast, the cast and crew were whisked off to New Zealand for a new adventure. While learning how to catch a fish barehanded, the male cast members decided to join in on the experience by stripping off their pants as they had no swimsuit on them.
To the embarrassment of Park Bo Young, all six of the male members were wearing tight underwear, not boxer shorts, not offering much coverage. Although the other members didn’t really give much thought in stripping down to go into the water, Noh Woo Jin, who wore the tightest underwear out of them, stood awkwardly as he made his way down, trying to cover himself and in the process drew even more attention.
Park Bo Young, although maintained her calm and managed to look in other directions before, unintentionally looked directly at Noh Woo Jin as he stood without his pants. She quickly turned her head and tried to block out her view as Noh Woo Jin quickly walked by saying, “Oppa is sorry. It’s such a tight underwear,” leaving everyone to chuckle at the awkward moment.

Before getting on stage, Mir stated, “We have to perform, so I’ll enjoy it instead of being nervous,” while Seungho said, “I want to dismiss the idea that we’re merely a dance group that only shows dance. I’ll show you a great performance with solid vocals.”

The two idol stars impressed with their performance of ”Men Who Annoy Women” by Moon Joo Ran, but they eventually lost to the band Daybreak by 7 votes. The original singer commented, “I like the song with the rap included; it’s more exciting. It was like listening to a new song.”

130301 [NEWS] ‘Laws of the Jungle 3′ suffers another drop, but still dominates as #1 in time slot

Laws of the Jungle 3‘, even despite having been embroiled in a controversy for being exaggerated in terms of content, has once again topped the Friday time slot as #1 in viewer ratings.
According to AGB Nielsen Media Research on the 2nd, the March 1st broadcast of ‘Laws of the Jungle’s Amazon special finished off with a 15.2% viewer rating which was a decrease of 1.6% from its previous episode. The viewer ratings for the show have been dropping, but it is still leagues ahead of its competition.
In this episode, Kim Byung Man, Noh Woo Jin, Park Jung Chul, Choo Sung Hoon, Park Sol Mi, and MBLAQ‘s Mir finished off their Amazon trip by spending their last night at the Galápagos Islands. Park Sol Mi also wrote a touching farewell letter to the members of the ‘Kim Byung Man tribe’, ringing the hearts of each member.
Meanwhile, the latest broadcast of MBC‘s ‘Birth of A Great Star 3‘ revealed its final winner but still achieved a lackluster viewer rating of 7.5%, and KBS‘s ‘VJ Special Forces‘ recorded 10.6%.
Next week’s episode of ‘Laws of the Jungle’ will feature guests Park Bo Young, whose CEO sparked the whole controversy surrounding the show, and actor  Jung Suk Won, for a trip to New Zealand; so, it remains to be seen whether the show will be able to hold on to its ratings.

130227 [NEWS]Why did MBLAQ’s Seungho and Mir visit ‘Inkigayo’?

MBLAQ hasn’t promoted a song since “Run“, so the boys have been quite absent from the broadcast stations.
However, the boys paid a special visit to ‘Inkigayo‘ to cheer on their hoobae labelmates TWO X. J.Tune Camp tweeted a photo of the two MBLAQ members and TWO X in cute yellow stage outfits from the ‘Inkigayo’ backstage, writing, “#MBLAQ #TwoX Seungho and Mir appeared at the SBS Deungchon Hall, where SBS ‘Inkigayo’ was held!! They came to ‘Inkigayo’ for the first time in a long time to cheer on TWO X. We’re revealing that scene to you. Ring Ma Bell~♪“.
Seems like MBLAQ is making sure to take good care of their hoobaes, as they’ve previously given them special lessons!

130219 [NEWS] MBLAQ’s Mir gets tricked by a hidden camera prank on ‘All the K-Pop’ and sheds tears

On the February 19th broadcast of MBC Music‘s ‘All the K-pop‘, MC Mir got tricked by a hidden camera prank and was brought to tears.
During the hidden camera event set up, a fortune teller purposely gave Mir a false fortune and stated, “If you didn’t become a celebrity, you were destined to become a shaman.” Another fortune teller followed along on the prank and spooked Mir by telling him, “I feel the energy of a snake ghost coming from Mir”,which especially freaked him out because he recently came back from a real-life jungle while recording for ‘Laws of the Jungle‘.
The serious atmosphere on set seemed to be too much for Mir to handle in addition to his fright and the filming was momentarily stopped.
After shedding tears backstage, Mir responded, “This is my first time being surprised by a hidden camera. Because I heard stories of snake ghosts after filming ‘Laws of the Jungle’, I didn’t suspect anything at all.”
Do you think the hidden camera was too harsh?

130215 [NEWS]Laws of the Jungle 3′ maintains #1 spot in viewer ratings despite suffering a drop

SBS‘ ‘Laws of the Jungle 3‘ aired it latest episode on the 15th, but its ratings suffered as it dropped a whopping 2.8%.
According to AGB Nielsen Media Research, the new episode achieved 15.3% in viewer ratings, which is almost a whole 3% drop since its last episode on February 8th that raked in 18.1%.
With the show facing controversy lately, it’s not a surprise to see some viewers turn away. However, the lower rating could also be due to the fact that the Kim Byung Man tribe left the Amazon for the Galapagos Islands, where they were told that they could not touch, catch, set up a fire, nor eat almost everything on the island due to the extremely strict environmental protection measures set in place. Thus, the drop in ratings could also stem from the episode having less going on than usual.
Despite everything, the show still managed to beat out its competitors, ranking #1 once again. Meanwhile, KBS 2TV‘s ‘VJ Special Forces‘ and MBC‘s ‘Birth of A Great Star‘ achieved 10.2% and 6.9%, respectively.

His sister is married and a mother of a child who is five but her younger-looking appearance and beauty attracted viewers’ attention at once. She sang Ayumi’s “Cutie Honey” to help him win the prize but failed.

130208 [NEWS] Mir opens up about his internal struggle to the ‘Laws of the Jungle’ members

Mir poured his heart out as he finally let down some of the frustration he carried within himself, and expressed what had been going through his mind the last few days he had been at the jungle.
On ‘Laws of the Jungle‘, the other members of the cast noticed Mir was noticeably less bright than he used to be as their stay in the Amazon was nearing a close. Park Jung Chul noticed first, and he said, “Your expression is dark. What are you thinking about?“. Mir smiled hesitantly, but could not speak up immediately. The other members also expressed their worry and said, “Right now is the most dangerous [state of mind]. Kwanghee was like that before, too.
Mir confessed, “I have an overwhelming will to do well. I want to do well, but I feel like I’m not able to do so,” expressing the frustration he was feeling within himself for not living up to his own expectations.
The other members immediately consoled him saying, “Mir, you’re working so hard. Don’t worry”“You’ve definitely been doing your best.”
Kim Byung Man spoke up in response and said, “Don’t worry about [working hard]. We’re in a free place. If you want to participate in doing something, then you can do so, but if you don’t want to, it’s okay to just sit back. We’re all here together to take care of things together. We’re one family, so if you’re worried, tell us. It’s worse to hide it.
It seems the change in Mir’s mentality came for he had worked extremely hard, giving it his all the first few days he had been at the jungle, but as he began to tire out, he felt frustrated and worried that he was not working as hard as he had before. Although the other members would often express their emotions, and admit that they’re feeling tired. Mir felt as the maknae, he should continue to be bright, in order to not be a burden on the members.
Hearing the encouragement the other members were giving him, Mir commented, “Honestly, ever since I was little, I felt as if even if I was tired, I always needed to be bright and strong. So when I was coming here, I thought to myself that even if I felt tired, I should smile even more and act even stronger, but I felt like I was beaten by the jungle and that was my concern.”
Park Sol Mi, as the only female member, consoled him as a nuna“Mir, don’t concern yourself with things like that. If you feel tired, or if you want to cry, you should cry and let down the weight from your shoulders.”
Later in a personal interview, Mir confessed, “When Kwanghee and Jinwoon told me it was going to be hard, I wondered what would be so difficult. I told myself I’m confident and that this will feel as if I’m going on a picnic, but once I got here, I learned that Amazon is a scary place and that I really couldn’t do much even if I tried. So realizing this, my heart had been in a tired state.”
After the talk, Mir recovered his bright image the next day as he set out with Park Sol Mi to find various fruits, and did not hesitate in participating in all aspects of living in the Amazon by even eating meat from a monkey’s head.

130208 [NEWS]Laws of the Jungle’ ranks #1 in ratings despite controversy

SBS‘ ‘Laws of the Jungle‘ ranked #1 in ratings for its much coveted time slot despite the recent controversy.
Recent comments from the head of Park Bo Young‘s agency has sparked various criticism that the show was completely staged. Nonetheless, according to AGB Nielsen the show raked in an overnight rating of 18.1. Although the rating dropped slightly compared to last week, it was by far the #1 show in it’s time slot. The rating was nearly double of the show in 2nd place.
In the most recent episode, the cast went to fish for piranhas, hunted wild boar, and attended a tribal wedding in which Mir ate a piece of a monkey head.

130208 [NEWS] Mir eats a piece of a monkey's head on 'Laws of the Jungle'

The boys of MBLAQ may have debuted with “Oh Yeah” but viewers were cringing and saying “Oh No” when Mir tried eating a monkey’s brain on ‘Laws of the Jungle‘.

Mir has been eating all sorts of exotic things on the show, including caterpillars and crocodiles, and it looks like he is extending his repertoire of bizarre food.

On the February 8th episode of ‘Laws of the Jungle’, the cast of the show joined the indigenous tribe during their wedding ceremonies. The tribe offered the cast monkey meat, which was their traditional meat for celebration. Mir, as usual, had no problem eating the meat, unlike Chu Sung Hoon or Noh Woo Jin, who shuddered at the thought of eating monkey meat. Because Mir was eating the meat so well, the women of the tribe granted him a special privilege and handed him a piece of meat from the monkey’s head. Even though some other cast members balked at the thought of it, Mir took it and ate it without a problem.

During a personal interview, he explained, “The tribe member gave me the meat from the head, but a piece of the brain was on it. But I couldn’t gag or be grossed out by it because everyone else in the tribe was enjoying the meat so much.”

His consideration for the tribe gained much praise from viewers, and hopefully Mir will be safe no matter what he eats throughout the rest of the episodes!

130202 [NEWS] Mir gets up close and personal with a crocodile on ‘Laws of the Jungle

Mir got up close and personal with a crocodile on the February 1st episode of ‘Laws of the Jungle‘.
For a few days in the jungle, the members of the variety show had only been able to eat

various fruit and fish while they battled through the amazon which they’ve nicknamed ‘the

green hell’. But as any growing boy needs, Mir was the happiest when Kim Byung Man and the Amazon tribe caught crocodiles.

Although he couldn’t participate in the actual hunting itself, how else would he get to

know the crocodile better – than by eating it? He enthusiastically participated in cleaning

and preparing the crocodile for breakfast. Traditionally, the Amazon tribe assigns the

crocodile cleaning to women while the tribe’s young men handle the cleaning of the

intestines. Mir volunteered himself to join the others in cleaning the intestines, comparing it to Korea’s gopchang (cow intestines).

When it was finally time to eat the crocodile, Mir happily tried out the fried crocodile leg he was

offered, and he also tried out the intestines as well. He only had praises as he was eating,

saying, “I can’t express how this tastes. I had no idea it would taste like this. It sort of tastes like chicken and fish mixed together.

It appears Mir not only enjoys having reptiles as pets but also eating them.

130114 [NEWS] Go Eun Ah reveals her relationship with Mir got awkward after their on-screen kiss

Go Eun Ah revealed that her relationship with Mir became awkward after their on-screen kiss.

On the January 14th episode of ‘Talk Club Actors‘ she said, “I had more rumors than other people my age, but I had no platform where I could properly explain myself. My little brother is MBLAQ‘s Mir.”

She continued, “When the public looks at Mir, they see him as an idol and a celebrity. But to me, he’s my little brother. Our family is really affectionate. We live apart from each other, so we express our love strongly. We kissed each other and didn’t care about what people said, but the next day the articles even said we were in some form of incestuous relationship.”

She expressed her frustration by saying, “I think the public sees me not as Mir’s older sister but as a woman. For our family, kissing is natural. I can’t even take photos because I’m scared people will mistake what we’re doing. After the articles came out, Mir and I became awkward around each other. Our sibling relationship was broken. We were originally touchy and straightforward, so people can misunderstand us. But I wanted to say once that my family wouldn’t be looked down on because of my personality.”
