"IRIS 2" Lee Joon's identity has become questionable.

During the 14th episode of the KBS drama "IRIS 2", Yoon Shi Hyuk (Lee Joon) began acting odd while carrying out Choi Min's (Oh Yeon Su) orders to keep an eye on Jung Yoo Gun (Jang Hyuk).

When Choi Min faces a dilemma where she might have to hand over IRIS agents Ray (David McInnis) and Lee Su Jin (Yoon Hoo Hee) over to Yoo Joong Won (Lee Beom Soo), she tells Yoon Shi Hyuk "You're the only one I have faith in." Choi Min then gave her a special assignment.

Just in case things went out of hand, Choi Min secretly put a tracking device on Lee Su Jin. She then tells Yoon Shi Hyuk to chase Lee Su Jin if IRIS runs away with Lee Su Jin and Ray.

However, unlike what Ray had requested in the past to let him go with Lee Su Jin, he runs away after killing Lee Su Jin in a gun fight with Jung Yoo Gun. Even when Yoon Shi Hyuk was watching Ray and Yoo Joong Won run away, he does not shoot his gun while running after him.

On the chase, Yoon Shi Hyuk began to act suspiciously. While he was watching Jung Yoo Gun fight with Ray, he pretended not to see and told his co-worker, "We should just keep watch and arrest them after."

Jung Yoo Gun kills Ray and begins to track down Yoo Joong Won. After seeing this, Yoon Shi Hyuk suddenly notifies somebody and follows Jung Yoo Gun.

Right after Choi Min had expressed her trust in him, Yoon Shi Hyuk began to act suspiciously. Shooting in the wrong direction and not chasing after the IRIS agents made Yoon Shi Hyuk look very suspicious.

130328 [NEWS] Lee Joon, Doojoon, and other ‘Iris 2′ cast members to appear in FPS game ‘Sudden Attack’

Fans will be able to meet their favorite ‘Iris 2‘ cast members as characters in the popular first person shooter game ‘Sudden Attack‘!

Of course, as the main stars of the drama, Lee Da Hae and Jang Hyuk are being added to the special character roster, but it’s been revealed that Lee Joon and Doojoon will also have their own characters in the game! The characters will use their real voices, and will even get special ‘Iris 2′ weapon items with special bonus effects.

130305 [NEWS] Lee Joon practices judo in new still cuts for ‘Iris 2′

Last week, Lee Joon finally made his long awaited appearance on ‘Iris 2‘, but his scatter of scenes hadn’t been enough to satisfy his fans.

Thankfully, ‘Iris 2′ released a set of still cuts, hinting that viewers will be seeing more and more of Lee Joon in future episodes. The still cuts show Lee Joon teaching Baek Sung Hyun and Lee Seung Hakhow to physically handle themselves.

His character is a confident character who always has a smirk on his face, but he is actually completely professional once he starts to work. The still cuts perfectly depicts just that, as they show him smirking at the junior agents with ease at the beginning. But when he actually starts to show them judo, he gets completely serious and has no problem flipping the other agents down onto the mat. Even though Lee Joon suffered a slight injury when he was filming the scene, he bounced right back into filming.

The publicized photos are from scenes that will broadcast on the 6^th during the 7^th episode.

In the picture, Lee looks chic while closing his eyes and making the V sign. Even though he is not staring at the camera, he looks manly. He also captured the fans’ attention with his upgraded appearance.

Yoon, on the other hand, looks cute. He is also making the V sign and for the camera and it made people laugh.

People who saw the picture responded: “I’m enjoying the series.” “They are so attractive.” “Lee looks handsome and Yoon is cute.” “I should watch the series on time.”

The race goes on. 

As SBS’ That Winter, The Wind Blows continues to reign over Wednesday night, the real battle turned out to be for second place. 

KBS’ Iris 2 and MBC’s 7th Grade Civil Servant has been competing against each other for second place with a very small difference between them. 

On Wednesday, Iris 2 took the win for second place, but by a really tiny margin of 0.1 percent, meaning things can easily get turned around by Thursday night.

130227 [NEWS] Lee Joon finally makes an appearance in ‘Iris 2′

‘Iris 2‘ was off to a blazing start with high TV ratings but for the first two weeks, Lee Joon was nowhere to be found. Many viewers were kept wondering where he could possibly be but the MBLAQ member finally made his long awaited appearance on the 5th episode.

The 5th episode aired on the 27th, and to make up for his lengthy absence, his voice was even used for the beginning narration.

Even though he played a serious, cool character for his first scene, he soon showed some elements of his real-life self, being a proud and fun character. He’s going to be swept up in an unusual situation as he guards the former president in the drama, and even though he complains about his tasks, he always fulfills his duty until the very end. His action scenes awed the entire staff, especially the director.

What’s Lee Joon been up to lately?

He’s been pretty much away from the spotlight, especially after the entire ‘We Got Married‘ fiasco. He wasn’t even present at the ‘Idol Star Athletics Championship‘, most likely because he was way too busy filming ‘Iris 2‘ and his movie ‘An Actor is an Actor‘. Even as fans waited desperately to see him on ‘Iris 2′, he has yet to appear in the first four episodes.

Thankfully, a photo he took with ‘An Actor is an Actor’ co-star Ma Dong Suk recently surfaced online. In the photo, he looks like he’s lost some weight, but he’s smiling happily in the camera. Hopefully, he can get some rest before returning to his fans once again.

Additionally, according to the preview for the next episode of ‘Iris 2′, it appears Lee Joon will finally be making his long awaited appearance on the action drama.

130221 [NEWS]“IRIS 2” Falls Behind in “That Winter” & “Civil Servant” in Ratings

While “IRIS 2” enjoyed coming in first in ratings last week, the series dropped to last place in the ratings battle for the prime-time drama time slot last night.  

According to AGB Nielsen, the third episode of “IRIS 2” saw a 1.6% drop in ratings, recording 10.8%.  SBS’s “That Winter, The Wind Blows,” on the other hand, secured its lead with 13.4%, a 1.0% increase from its third episode.MBC’s “Level 7 Civil Servant” was a close second with 12.5%. 

Meanwhile, there was a lot of hype surrounding the premiere of “IRIS 2″ and “That Winter, The Wind Blows.” As the sequel to the popular “IRIS,” starring Kim Tae Hee and Lee Byung Heon, the sequel reunited two big names from“Chuno,” Lee Da Hae and Jang Hyuk.

“IRIS 2” story picks up three years after the death of Hyun Joon (Lee Byung Heon) in “IRIS,” and revolves around the mysteries surrounding Hyun Joon’s death and Baek San (Kim Young Chul), who had been arrested for being part of the secret organization, IRIS. The NSS agents, headed by Yoo Gun (Jang Hyuk), will struggle to fight against and expose IRIS, which has gotten larger and even more powerful than before.

“That Winter, The Wind Blows” marks Song Hye Gyo and Jo In Sung’s comeback to the small screen. The melodrama is about a man and woman, who don’t believe in love. Song Hye Gyo takes on the role of Oh Young, the sole heiress to a giant conglomerate. She lost both her parents and her eyesight, making her extremely self-protecting and lonely. Jo In Sung plays Oh Soo, a playboy and a gambler who lives a meaningless life. He sets his eyes on his next target, Oh Young, to repay an enormous amount of debt. 130219 [NEWS] Iris 2′ Director Says He Meant for the Agents to Wear Black in Snow

 

Director Pyo Min Soo of Iris 2 cleared up what netizens called a slip-up on the part of the producers.

In a press roundtable for the drama on February 19, the director touched on the criticisms that had been voiced about the drama, and hinted on what was to come.

Netizens criticized the drama for a scene in which the agents were shown training in black suits against a snowy backdrop, when soldiers and agents in training usually wear white to blend into the background.

Director Pyo Min Soo commented, "I considered up until the morning of the shoot on whether I should have the actors wear white clothes, white hats and hold guns taped to look white, but I thought that would be too simple."

He added, "I thought it would be more natural to have the agents train in the clothes they usually wear. I judged the situation would be explained with Yu Geon (Jang Hyuk)′s dialogue, but following the criticisms I realized I should have explained the situation more."

 

After its first episode aired on February 13, Iris 2 received mixed reactions.

Some were even brought to point out that the producers had made a mistake in the training scene in question, pointing out that secret agents would wear white in snow for camouflage.

The director said, "I was sad it was being called a mistake. I′m preparing some romance for the action blockbuster next, so I believe you can look forward to that."

A new drama battle began with the entrance of KBS’ Iris 2 and SBS’ Wind Blows in Winter, which were both highly anticipated even before their first episode.

The first victor turned out to be Iris 2 with 14.4, but both Wind Blows in Winter and MBC’s 7th Grade Civil Servant followed closely with 11.3 and 12.7 percent. Wind Blows in Winter later recorded 12.8 percent with episode 2, which was aired back to back.

130212 [NEWS] Iris 2's MBLAQ LeeJoon and BEAST DoJoon reveal "No rivalry ongoing"

 

Two idols talked about their friendship at the IRIS 2 press conference.

During the press conference held at Lotte Hotel Seoul, a question was asked to LeeJoon ,"On the series, Yoon DoJoon plays your rival, at the same time, he is also an idol. Is there any rivalry?"

In which, Joon immediately replied, "BEAST is definitely not our rivals at all. In fact, the members are all our friends. We get along well. Me and DoJoon are just like brothers who play together. There's no rivalry at all."

He also added, "Four years ago, DoJoon supported me alot, he is kind a good friend to me. I'm a year older and we often meet outside and talk." In which Doo Joon gave a thumb up sign.

DooJoon will play the character of NSS agent Seo Hyunwoo and Lee Joon will play the role of NSS agent Yoon Shi Hyuk. The sequel IRIS 2 will be broadcasted on February 13.
